Council has received and publicly notified in the Waikato Times and North Waikato News on Wednesday 9th August 2017 and Te Kauwhata Chatter on Wednesday 9th August 2017 an application by Lakeside Developments 2017 Limited for resource consent to establish a sales precinct in association with a proposal for urbanisation of the site at 95 Scott Road, Te Kauwhata. The site is subject to a separate plan change process. The sales precinct is intended to be constructed in advance of a decision being made on the private plan change request.
The proposal includes the following components and structures:
- A sales office with a footprint of approximately 50m2,
- Five show homes ranging in size from 80m2 to 219m2, with show home 2 and 4 having a two level design.
- A sealed car parking area for 12 visitor/sales staff car parks and a new dedicated access to the precinct off the end of Scott Road
The proposal also includes some landscaping treatment with the proposed precinct site covering an area of approximately 1ha. It is intended that the sales office and show homes provide information and promote the nature and type of housing typologies which may be developed on the land should the plan change be approved to rezone the site from Rural Zone to Living Zone and Recreation Zone.
